Intra-Corporeal Lithotripsy

Intra-Corporeal Lithotripsy

Intra-Corporeal Lithotripsy is one of the endoscopic investigations of the urinary system which can be done under spinal or general anaesthesia. The endoscope is inserted through the urethra into the bladder. After identifying the ureteral opening, doctor will pass the endoscope into the affected ureter or kidney to evaluate if there is any tumour, stone(s), obstruction or stricture in the upper urinary tract.

  • Upper urinary tract stones can be fragmented with the application of Holmium Laser system during ureteroscopy. The fragmented stones are then passed spontaneously or can be removed by either forceps or baskets .
  • Ureteral dilatation to treat ureteral stricture
  • Insertion of JJ stent to facilitate urinary drainage
  • Diagnosis and removal any upper urinary tract lesion
