Glaucoma

  • Acute glaucoma (Angle-Closure Glaucoma): sudden increase of intraocular pressure causes severe eye pain, blurring of vision, headache, halos, nausea and vomiting.
  • Chronic glaucoma (Open Angle Glaucoma): gradual increase of intraocular pressure without any early symptoms. By the time when there is symptom of visual field loss, damage of optic nerve is serious. Therefore, regular eye examination is essential for early detection of the problems.
